Canine Concierge Corporation (CCC) is a Fairfax-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit established to expand access to ethical, evidence-based animal-assisted therapy (AAT) and therapy dogs across the Northern Virginia (NOVA) region. We believe deeply in the measurable impact therapy dogs can have on emotional health, stress reduction, social connection, and overall quality of life — and in the dignity of making that care accessible to those who need it most.
Our work is designed with a simple purpose and a far-reaching goal: to provide free, certified therapy dog services to individuals, families, and institutions serving vulnerable communities once programs are formally launched.
At Canine Concierge Corporation, our mission is to advance ethical therapy dog programs, education, and access for vulnerable populations throughout Northern Virginia (NOVA). We will work to build partnerships with hospitals, nursing homes, senior centers, rehabilitation facilities, public safety agencies, and community organizations to support emotional well-being, reduce stress, and strengthen emotional resilience — at no cost to participating organizations.
CCC is structured to support the development and coordination of highly trained, certified therapy dog teams, with an emphasis on safety, professionalism, and evidence-based practice. The programs are designed to reflect well-documented therapeutic outcomes, including reduced anxiety, improved social engagement, and increased comfort for individuals experiencing trauma, illness, or social isolation.
Professional Therapy Dog Engagements for Community Well‑Being
Canine Concierge Corporation is developed to offer structured, goal‑oriented animal‑assisted therapy experiences designed to support community well‑being across Northern Virginia. Planned program areas will include:
Hospitals & Healthcare Centers
Emotional comfort, patient engagement, and stress reduction during treatment and recovery.
Youth Programs
Support for literacy development, anxiety reduction, and social‑emotional learning in educational and community settings.
Senior Living Communities
Companionship, cognitive stimulation, and improved mood for older adults in assisted living and memory‑care environments.
Corporate & Workplace Wellness
Morale support, stress mitigation, and healthy human connection
through short‑term therapeutic interactions.
Community Events & Public Programs
Approachable, uplifting interactions designed to bring people
together and foster emotional connection.
All CCC therapy dog teams will be prepared through third‑party training and certification pathways and supported by appropriate insurance and safety protocols prior to program launch. The organization will place equal emphasis on handler professionalism, dog welfare, risk management, and consistent service quality across every engagement.
Animal-assisted therapy is more than a comforting interaction — it is a clinically recognized approach associated with meaningful physiological and psychological benefits.
Research and applied practice indicate that therapy dogs can help to:
Through structured programs and consistent, professionally guided visits, CCC’s therapy dog teams will be designed to create moments of calm and trust that may contribute to longer-term improvements for individuals and the communities they serve. The dogs will create moments of calm and trust that ripple into long-term improvements for individuals and the communities around them.
Therapy dogs are trained to provide comfort and emotional support in structured settings such as hospitals, schools, and senior living communities as part of formal animal-assisted therapy programs.
Service dogs are individually trained to perform specific tasks for a person with a disability and are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Emotional support animals provide comfort through companionship but are not trained for therapeutic work and do not have public access rights.
Canine Concierge Corporation’s programs will focus exclusively on certified therapy dogs operating within professional, ethical, and facility-approved environments.
Federally Verified. Community Centered.
Quality care begins with quality training. CCC’s therapy dog program is being designed around rigorous preparation standards. Each participating dog will be expected to complete:
• A structured obedience foundation program
• Followed by extended, specialized animal-assisted therapy (AAT) certification training through recognized third-party organizations
In parallel, Canine Concierge Corporation is registered with SAM.gov (UEI: S3KCFZM2N6N7) and is being structured to operate with a strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible nonprofit governance.
This federal registration is intended to support eligibility for public-sector grants and partnerships, helping CCC sustainably expand access to ethical therapy dog programs throughout Virginia once operational.
Our Signature Community Event
Canine Concierge Corporation will host Paws for Purpose NOVA (PFPN) as an annual community walk and awareness event designed to bring together therapy dog teams, families, supporters, and local partners to highlight the role of animal-assisted therapy in community well-being.
PFPN is being developed as more than a walk. It will serve as a platform for:
Participants can expect future events to include:
Funds raised through PFPN will be designated to support the future development of CCC’s therapy dog programs, handler education initiatives, and community outreach efforts once operational.
Because CCC will provide therapy dog services at no cost to participating facilities and the individuals they serve, programs are being designed to be sustained through the generosity of donors, sponsors, and community partners.
Support will help make it possible to:
• Train and prepare new therapy dog teams through accredited certification pathways
• Offer free or low‑cost animal‑assisted therapy visits to under‑resourced organizations
• Develop educational resources and community outreach programming
• Sustain and grow the Paws for Purpose NOVA community event
• Maintain high standards for safety, training, and animal welfare
Each contribution will be directed toward expanding access to ethical therapy dog programs and increasing the number of individuals who may experience comfort, dignity, and emotional relief through structured animal‑assisted therapy once services are launched.
