The director, along with the veterinarian team, will carefully select two puppies from different AKC breeders to ensure healthy development and avoid the challenges associated with ‘littermate syndrome.’
Potty: Sunrise to sunset, every other hour | Obedience: Once per week for six weeks
Crate: Spending the majority of their inside time until potty trained
Play: Reward for doing their ‘business’ outside, with walking | Meals: Twice per day
Stella and DaVinci will celebrate their 6-month milestone with a joyful birthday party—a special moment marking their readiness to begin Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) training. This celebration highlights their progress and dedication as they prepare for the next chapter in their journey as therapy dogs.
Stella and DaVinci will reside at the boarding and training facility until their trainers determine they are ready for the therapy dog certification tests. The timeline varies depending on the selected animal-assisted therapy (AAT) center. During their stay, they will participate in private and group training sessions, as well as individual sessions with the director during his periodic visits to support their progress.
